HC Deb 10 February 1943 vol 386 c1296
20. Mr. Astor

asked the Secretary of State for the Colonies whether he will consider instituting a voluntary or paid work scheme at Athlit Camp, in Palestine, so that persons detained there can be employed on the restoration of the neighbouring castle of Athlit or on some other suitable work?

The Secretary of State for the Colonies (Colonel Oliver Stanley)

I will consider my hon. and gallant Friend's suggestion, and I am in consultation with the High Commissioner for Palestine in the matter.
