asked the President of the Board of Trade whether he will consider fixing maximum retail prices of sponges, in view of the fact that prices have risen so steeply that they seriously affect the earnings of the pottery operatives in the clay processes, who have to purchase between 1,300 and 1,500 pieces per week of fine faced sponges?
