HC Deb 09 February 1943 vol 386 c1156
23. Mr. Bowles

asked the President of the Board of Trade what steps he proposes to take to remedy the scarcity of light linen drawers, known as pit pants, used by the Warwickshire miners when working underground, particulars of which have been supplied to him by the hon. Member for Nuneaton?

The President of the Board of Trade (Mr. Dalton)

In the light of the information sent me by my hon. Friend, I have arranged for additional supplies of these pit pants to be sent at once to Nuneaton.
