The simplification which my right hon. Friend is introducing in certain details of the Army pay system is not concerned with allowances and does not appear to me to have a bearing on the Question raised.
§ Mr. A. EdwardsWill the Minister bear in mind in making any alteration that many officers in this country receiving allowances for their wives do not allow the money to go to their wives, and see whether there could be a compulsory allocation as in the case of the Dominion Services?
