asked the Minister of Labour the total number of appeals, on compassionate grounds, against being transferred to other parts of the country made by women in the Maryhill Division of Glasgow, and the total number of appeals granted up to date?

I am having inquiries made and will communicate with my hon. Friend.

Will my right hon. Friend keep in mind that those figures will be very important to enable Members of the House to meet any criticisms which may be made with regard to those transfers?

All I can do is to see that the hon. Member gets accurate figures.
