HC Deb 16 December 1943 vol 395 c1682
64. Mr. Bossom

asked the Minister of Health whether he is satisfied that all the 100,000 sites approved far post-war housing will not be interfered with by the construction of new main traffic arteries, the widening of existing roads or the construction of secondary roads, nor will they prevent or be interfered with by the development of green belts?

Mr. Willink

Steps are taken to ensure that all sites purchased by local authorities for housing purposes are free from objection on planning grounds. The housing land at present in possession of local authorities amounts to about 10,000 acres.
