HC Deb 15 December 1943 vol 395 c1527
19. Sir Irving Albery

asked the Parliamentary Secretary to the Ministry of Works whether he can give an assurance that the occupation of blocks of flats by Government Departments will be terminated at the earliest possible moment?

Mr. Hicks

I can assure the hon. Member that my Department fully appreciates the desirability of releasing blocks of flats which it has requisitioned as soon as practicable after the cessation of hostilities in Europe. How soon it will be possible to do so cannot be stated at present. The attention of other Departments concerned will be drawn to the matter.
