HC Deb 07 December 1943 vol 395 cc754-5
11. Major Nield

asked the Secretary of State for War whether he is aware of con- cern among members of the Forces serving overseas that they may be required to undertake the task of occupying and policing, in conjunction with our Allies, territory abroad when all hostilities have ceased; and whether he will consider calling for volunteers to form the force, or part of the force needed for this purpose, offering them reasonably generous terms?

The Secretary of State for War (Sir James Grigg)

I would refer my hon. and gallant Friend to the answer I gave him on 1st June and to my remarks in the Debate on the Adjournment on 6th July. At present I have nothing to add.
