asked the Minister of Aircraft Production whether he is aware that the staff at the Ministry have recently been canvassed to vote for the opening of theatres on Sunday and that this canvassing involved the signing of forms only in favour of opening; and whether he will take steps to prevent this waste of time of war workers?

In a purely personal capacity, a member of the staff, who has now been admonished, sought the support of some of his colleagues in this matter. Only a very small number of people were involved, and suitable action has been taken to prevent such unauthorised activities.

Is the right hon. and learned Gentleman aware that the hon. and gallant Member recently brought 100 pretty girls here to canvass Members of Parliament in the opposite direction?
