§ 37. Mr. W. Brownasked the Parliamentary Secretary to the Ministry of War Transport whether he is aware that at Paddington Station, Great Western Railway, there are no facilities for women and children to wash after 7 p.m.; and whether he will have steps taken to remedy this situation?
§ Mr. Noel-BakerWashing facilities have been normally available at Paddington Station from eight in the morning till ten at night. Recently, however, the washrooms have been closed for varying periods of time, owing to the shortage of towels and soap. Instructions have now been given that they shall be open during the same hours as before, for passengers who have their own towels and soap.
