§ 37. Sir F. Fremantleasked the Minister of Health whether the Housing Acts (Review of Contributions) Order, 1942, made on 5th August, 1942, will hold good till 1944 or 1945, instead of in the year 1941, as prescribed by the Housing (Financial Provisions) Act, 1938?
§ Miss HorsbrughThe Order relates to subsidies in respect of houses completed after 30th September, 1942, and will hold good until such date in 1945 as may be fixed as the result of the next triennial review.
§ Sir F. FremantleDoes my hon. Friend recognise that under the original Act on which it depends the Order should have been made in 1941 and therefore should only hold good until 1944, and is there not a year's discrepancy?
§ Miss HorsbrughI do not think there is a discrepancy, and perhaps my hon. Friend will discuss it with me. This particular Regulation referred to houses completed after 1942.
