HC Deb 08 September 1942 vol 383 c31
62. Sir G. Broadbridge

asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer the estimated loss of revenue to the Government to date, and annually, due to licensed vehicles having been laid aside for want of the necessary motive power?

The Joint Parliamentary Secretary to the Ministry of War Transport (Mr. Noel-Baker)

I have been asked to reply. I regret that I will not be able to give my hon. Friend the information for which he asks until the returns of licences current at the end of August have been received and analysed. These returns are not at present published, but I will send my hon. Friend the figures he wants as soon as they are ready.
