HC Deb 22 October 1942 vol 383 c2112
Sir H. Williams

I wish to tender an apology to the First Lord of the Admiralty for an injustice which I unwittingly did him yesterday. When I was asking a Supplementary Question of the Parliamentary Secretary to the Ministry of Food, I said something which implied that the First Lord had deliberately used his position in order to give an advantage to co-operative societies over private traders in the matter of milk distribution. I had no intention of implying anything of the kind, and I wish to put my apology on record.
