§ Mr. Arthur Greenwood
May I ask whether the Leader of the House has any statement to make with regard to the Business to-day?
§ The Lord Privy Seal (Sir Stafford Cripps)
It is necessary to obtain the Committee stage of the Supplementary Vote of Credit, the Supplementary 1845 Estimate for Supplementary Pensions, and the formal Resolutions in Committee of Ways and Means. I propose, therefore, to move the suspension of the Rule as a precautionary measure, but I hope it will be possible to obtain the Business without the House sitting beyond the usual hour.
§ Earl Winterton
Is it contemplated that before the House adjourns there will be any statement or opportunity for Debate on the question of the chaining of prisoners?
