§ Mr. ManderCan my right hon. and learned Friend give an assurance that this Report is not being held up out of consideration for vested interests?

§ Mr. ShinwellMay I ask whether the Report from the Beveridge Committee will be in the hands of the Government and considered before the new Session, so that it might be dealt with in the King's Speech, in order to ascertain whether the Government propose to implement their promise in connection with old age pensions?
§ Sir W. JowittI have said that I anticipate that the Report will be received in a few weeks' time. As soon as it is received it will be published.
