asked the Home Secretary whether the German authorities have compulsorily evacuated Channel Islanders to German occupied territory on the Continent?

Mr. H. Morrison

I have no information beyond that contained in the communique issued last night from Combined Operations headquarters.

Mr. Ammon

Is the Minister aware that letters have been arriving in this country reporting the mysterious disappearance of male relatives? Could he not come to an agreement with the military authorities about publishing this information, as it is already well known to the enemy?

Mr. Morrison

I will certainly consider that point. I have become aware, through my hon. Friend, that that was so, and I will give consideration to the suggestion he has made.
