asked the Under-Secretary of State for the Colonies whether he is aware of the criticism expressed in Palestine against the operation of the Palestine Irrigation Ordinances as at present: drafted; and whether he will give further consideration to the same in the light of this local opposition?

The answer to the first part of the Question is in the affirmative. As regards the second, my Noble Friend is awaiting the High Commissioner's views on the representations which have been made in Palestine regarding the proposed Irrigation Ordinances.
