HC Deb 19 November 1942 vol 385 c509
84. Mr. Rhys Davies

asked the Minister of Health whether he has now completed his inquiries into the decision of the General Nursing Council to debar persons, without giving any reason, from sitting for examinations set by that council although they have prepared themselves for those examinations; and, if so, with what result?

Mr. E. Brown

I am still in correspondence with the General Nursing Council in regard to the resolution to which my hon. Friend refers.

Mr. Davies

In view of the fact that the decision of the General Nursing Council in this case debars young women from entering the nursing profession, will the right hon. Gentleman speed up his inquiries?

Mr. Brown

I will get a decision as soon as I can.
