HC Deb 10 November 1942 vol 383 cc2252-3
50. Mrs. Cazalet Keir

asked the Prime Minister whether he can yet state which of the recommendations of the Committee on Welfare in the Women's Services have been accepted by the various departments concerned?

The Prime Minister (Mr. Churchill)

Owing to the different action which is being taken by the three Services on the various recommendations of the Committee, I regret that I cannot add precise figures to the answer I gave my hon. Friend on 29th September. Except for a very small number of recommendations which I understand have not been accepted, the recommendations are being progressively implemented.

Mr. Bellenger

Could the Prime Minister indicate in the OFFICIAL REPORT which of the recommendations have not been accepted?

The Prime Minister

I am not armed with the means to do that at the present moment.

Mrs. Keir

If I were to put Questions to the Service Departments, could I get a more detailed reply?

The Prime Minister

I should think it would be highly probable.
