HC Deb 26 March 1942 vol 378 cc2148-9
68. Sir T. Moore

asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer whether, in order to give effect to the determination of our people to adopt a more offensive spirit towards the conduct of the war, he will have such slogans as "Lend to Defend" altered to "Lend to Attack"; and also follow the same policy in all other public pronouncements within the sphere of his office?

Captain Crookshank

My right hon. Friend will keep in mind my hon. Friend's suggestion, with which in principle he fully agrees.
