HC Deb 25 March 1942 vol 378 c1994
60. Mr. Parker

asked the Parliamentary Secretary to the Ministry of Food whether he is aware that no home-killed meat has been supplied to butchers in Romford, Dagenham, Barking and Hornchurch since 5th March; that this is the result of a dispute as to the grading of meat; and whether he can hold an inquiry into the whole matter?

The Parliamentary Secretary to the Ministry of Food (Major Lloyd George)

I am aware of the facts in this case and would refer my hon. Friend to the reply given to my hon. Friend the Member for Plaistow (Mr. Thorne) on 24th March. I do not propose to hold an inquiry into the matter as the circumstances are fully known.
