asked the Minister of Information how many members of the staff, or of others employed in any other capacity, in the monitory service in particular and the British Broadcasting Corporation in general, have resigned during the last nine months?

Mr. Bracken

I do not think I should ask the B.B.C. for information on this matter, which is one of internal administration.

Sir W. Smithers

Will my right hon. Friend make inquiries of the B.B.C. as to how many of these resignations were in the nature of protests against the persons and methods employed, especially in the monitory service?

Mr. Bracken

I shall do no such thing. The Governors of the B.B.C. are responsible for the internal administration, and it would be very wrong for me to interfere with them.
