HC Deb 17 March 1942 vol 378 c1311
16. Mr. Thorne

asked the President of the Board of Trade whether he can give any information in connection with the charge made against Isaac Isenberg for supplying hosiery in excess of the quota allowed by the Limitation of Supplies Order; and what action he intends taking in the matter?

The President of the Board of Trade (Mr. Dalton)

This man supplied hosiery valued at £2,507 in excess of his permitted quota. He was fined £7,521, three times the value of the excess. I do not propose to take any further action.
