HC Deb 05 March 1942 vol 378 c804
47. Mr. Davidson

asked the Prime Minister whether he is now in a position fully to define the powers of the recently-appointed Minister of Production?

Mr. Attlee

As my right hon. Friend the Prime Minister stated on 24th February, the Minister of State has, as his sphere of superintendence, the whole process of production in all its aspects. No further formal definition is called for, but my right hon. Friend the Minister of State will take an early opportunity of making a statement to the House in regard to his duties.
