HC Deb 30 June 1942 vol 381 c16
30. Mr. Colegate

asked the Secretary of State for War whether he is aware that delays in the payment of compensation to members of the Home Guard, injured or disabled in course of training and exercises, is causing unnecessary hardship; and will he give immediate instructions that the payment of compensation is approved cases should be made promptly and with due regard to the claimant's circumstances?

Sir J. Grigg

I am aware that there have been delays in some cases. Certain changes in the procedure will in consequence be made which should produce an improvement.
