asked the Minister of Fuel and Power whether he will reconsider the withdrawal of basic rations for motor-cars in the case of motor-car owners living in villages remote from larger towns and in which the shops cannot supply all the needs of the villagers?

No, Sir. I would refer the hon. Member to the statement made in this House oh 21st April indicating the conditions under which an allowance may be obtained for purposes of shopping in a rural area.
