HC Deb 23 June 1942 vol 380 c1791
14. Mr. William Brown

asked the Secretary of State for War whether he will take steps to expedite a decision on the request made by the Civil Service Clerical Association to his Department, on 2nd March last, for negotiations concerning the pay of Grade IV clerks employed in the out-stations of the War Office who are promoted to higher posts?

The Secretary of State for War (Sir James Grigg)

It has been necessary to discuss the request made by the Civil Service Clerical Association with other Departments which would be affected by any decision in the matter referred to, but a reply will be sent very shortly.
