§ Sir J. GriggIn December, 1941, 59 staff officers of the rank of major and above, aged more than 61, were serving in the United Kingdom. I regret that no more recent figure is at present available. With regard to the second part of his Question, I would refer my hon. Friend to the answer which I gave to my hon. Friend the Member for South Croydon (Sir H. Williams) on 5th May.
