asked the Minister of Fuel and Power whether he will give an assurance that the necessary anthracite or coke will be allowed for gas-producer plants being fitted to motor-cars used for business purposes?

Supplies of solid fuel will be available for vehicles driven by gas-producer plant in so far as I and my Noble Friend the Minister of War Transport are satisfied of the essential nature of the work oil which such vehicles are engaged and within limits of number to be agreed between us.
