§ 15. Mr. Reakesasked the Secretary of State for War how many Territorial commanding officers have been removed from their commands, whilst serving at home, since the Territorial Army became merged in the Army; how many have objected; the number granted an inquiry and the number reinstated in their commands; how many, other than Territorial officers, have been promoted to commands vacated by Territorials; and will he give an assurance that the arbitrary removal of Territorial commanders will not be used to impair the efficient and democratic tradition of the Territorial Army?
§ Sir J. GriggI could not give the facts asked for without an expenditure of time and labour on research which I could not justify. The answer to the last part of the Question is in the affirmative.
