HC Deb 14 July 1942 vol 381 c1079
61. Miss Cazalet

asked the Home Secretary whether he is yet in a position to make a statement with regard to facilities for voting for women in the Services?

The Under-Secretary of State for the Home Department (Mr. Peake)

I am not yet in a position to make a statement about the question to which my hon. Friend refers, but the importance of the matter is fully recognised, and it is hoped that it will be possible to make a statement at an early date.

Miss Cazalet

If I put a Question down next week, will my hon. Friend be able to answer it?

Mr. Peake

My hon. Friend will be more certain of getting an answer if she puts down her Question in a fortnight's time.
