§ The Financial Secretary to the Treasury (Captain Crookshank)The number of such civil servants eligible for the receipt of the balance of their civil pay as at 1st April, 1942, was 106,850. Of these a number, which cannot be specified, receive no balance because their Service pay exceeds their civil pay.
