asked the President of the Board of Trade what steps have been taken to see that the efforts to preserve the normal channels of trade are not allowed to interfere with the most direct and cheapest methods of supply?

Mr. Dalton

Many such steps have already been taken by the Board of Trade, including various programmes of utility production and Price Regulation Orders, including, for example, the, Restriction of Resale Order, designed to eliminate unnecessary middlemen.
