HC Deb 01 July 1942 vol 381 c183
1. Mr. Rhys Davies

asked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs whether His Majesty's Government will consider taking steps, through neutral channels, with a view to arrangements being made with enemy Powers for placing communities such as those in the ghettoes of occupied territories in a not less favourable position for the receipt of food and medicines than is now accorded to prisoners of war?

The Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs (Mr. Eden)

I have nothing to add to the reply given to the Question by the hon. Member on 17th June.

Mr. Davies

While I thank the right, hon. Gentleman for the Answer he gave on that occasion, will he bear in mind the suggestions contained in this Question if the opportunity occurs?

Mr. Eden

I am afraid that I do not take the view that these are similar problems. They are different problems, and I do not think it is any good mixing them up.
