HC Deb 29 January 1942 vol 377 c917
47. Sir G. Gibson

asked the Minister of Agriculture whether in co-operation with county councils, agricultural committees and the Forestry Commissioners, he will encourage the placing of bee colonies in suitable areas under their control, to be tended by their own employees or, alternatively, invite voluntary help to tend the bee colonies, in order to increase the honey supply and extend fertilisation of fodder, fruit and vegetable crops?

The Minister of Agriculture (Mr. R. S. Hudson)

I regret that in view of existing circumstances my hon. Friend's suggestion is not practicable.
