§ 68 and 69. Mr. Parkerasked the Parliamentary Secretary to the Ministry of Supply (1) whether he is aware that as a result of the publication of a rubber salvage campaign, without details of the exact method with which this scheme is to be carried into operation, scrap rubber 722 which, before the announcement, was sold by manufacturers quite freely, is now being withheld by them, as a result of which plants engaged on the preparation of vital material are at a standstill for half of each week, due to the shortage of raw materials; and what action he proposes to take to deal with this situation;
(2) why proper price control has not been introduced in connection with the rubber salvage campaign?
