HC Deb 27 January 1942 vol 377 c561
59. Commander King-Hall

asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer in how many cases have the recommendations for specific action made by the Select Committee on National Expenditure been adopted by His Majesty's Government?

Sir K. Wood

The eleventh report of the Select Committee for the Session 1939–40 and the twelfth and eighteenth reports for the Session 1940–41 contain summaries of the action taken by Departments on recommendations made by the Committee. I understand that a further summary is contained in the first report for the current session, which will shortly be available to Members.
