HC Deb 27 January 1942 vol 377 c553
44. Mr. Mander

asked the Parliamentary Secretary to the Ministry of Food whether, in view of the decision not to permit the further export of articles of food to British prisoners of war, he will consider making arrangements so that the same restrictions may apply to the sending of articles of food by individuals overseas to individuals in this country?

The Parliamentary Secretary to the Ministry of Food (Major Lloyd George)

My hon. Friend is under a misapprehension. No decision has been taken to prohibit the despatch by the British Red Cross Society of food parcels to British prisoners of war.
