§ 22. Mr. Simmondsasked the Secretary of State for Air whether it has yet been decided to operate a Pan American air service between this country and America; and upon what date it is hoped to commence scheduled flights?
§ Sir A. SinclairI understand that the Civil Aeronautics Board at Washington have recently authorised Pan American Airways to extend their Atlantic service from Lisbon to Foynes. I am not in a position to say when scheduled flights will commence.
§ Mr. SimmondsCould my right hon. Friend say that there is no difficulty with Southern Ireland about this service being run, on account of that country's neutral status?
§ Sir A. SinclairI am not aware of any difficulties.
