HC Deb 20 January 1942 vol 377 c205
56. Sir Irving Albery

asked the Prime Minister whether, in view of the many valuable works of art which have been looted by the Nazis, or acquired under duress, in all the occupied countries, he will give an assurance that the peace terms will include some suitable provision for restitution where possible, and otherwise for the curtailment of facilities for dealing with such loot?

The Prime Minister

His Majesty's Government will naturally bear this question in mind.
