HC Deb 08 January 1942 vol 377 c37
71. Captain Strickland

asked the Parliamentary Secretary to the Ministry of War Transport whether his attention has been drawn to the danger to road transport during black-out hours of indicating closed level-crossing gates by means of a red lamp which gives no guidance as to the complete closing of the whole road width; and what steps he proposes to take to overcome the danger?

The Joint Parliamentary Secretary to the Ministry of War Transport (Colonel Llewellin)

I have no evidence to the effect suggested in the Question, but if my hon. Friend has any particular case in mind. I shall be happy to look into it.
