§ Mr. EdenIn accordance with plans made some time ago, His Majesty's Consul-General at Batavia has been arranging since. December last for the evacuation to Australia of British subjects in the Netherlands East Indies, particularly women and children, who are not required locally for the war effort. These arrangements include both resident British subjects and refugees from elsewhere.
§ Lieutenant ButcherIs there any knowledge of the names of British nationals who have been sent in that way, and will my right hon. Friend indicate where such information could be obtained, and also whether our appreciation has been conveyed to the Netherlands East Indies Government of their great help in the matter?
