asked the Minister of Health whether he is aware of the dissatisfaction of local authorities in regard to the attitude of the Government in connection with loss of rate revenue suffered by local authorities in consequence of the war; and what steps he proposes to take to remedy this position?

I am unable to add anything to the reply given to my hon. Friend by my right hon. Friend the Chancellor of the Exchequer on 1st October last.

In view of the anxiety on the part of local authorities, I will raise the matter on the Adjournment.
