§ 1. Professor Savoryasked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs whether the High Commissoner for Eire left with the Foreign Office a copy of the protest presented by the Minister for Eire at Washington against the landing of American troops in Northern Ireland; and whether he has any statement to make on 1774 the evidence to this effect laid before him by the hon. Member for the Queen's University of Belfast?
§ Mr. EdenAs I stated in reply to a similar Question put to me by the hon. Member on 11th February, Eire affairs are dealt with by the Dominions Office; as regards the second part of his Question, the statement contained in the Bulletin of International News, a copy of which he was good enough to hand me, proved on inquiry to be without foundation.
§ Professor SavoryWould the Minister inform the Royal Institute of International Affairs that their bulletin reports are erroneous and misleading so far as that statement is concerned?
