HC Deb 10 February 1942 vol 377 cc1438-9
The Secretary of State for India (Mr. Amery)

I beg to move, in page 1, line 25, after the word "count," to insert: and the person so appointed shall, unless the Governor-General in his discretion thinks fit to revoke his appointment, be deemed to be a judge of the Federal Court until that case has been heard and determined by the Federal Court. These words by implication involve the salary of the judge who is temporarily appointed, and therefore were not in the Bill as read in another place.

Amendment agreed to.

Clause, as amended, ordered to stand part of the Bill.

Clause 2 ordered to stand part of the Bill.

Bill reported with an Amendment, as amended, considered; read the Third time and passed, with an Amendment.
