§ 59. Mr. Toucheasked the Chancellor of the Exchequer what recommendations he has received from local war savings committees for the issue of 10s. Savings Certificates; and whether he has given consideration to this proposal?
§ Sir K. WoodOne or two such recommendations have been brought to my notice but I have come to the conclusion that the advantages to be derived from the substitution of a 10s. Savings Certificate for the current one would not compensate for the practical difficulties which the change would involve.
