HC Deb 30 September 1941 vol 374 c467
Mr. Lees-Smith

May I ask the Prime Minister to state the Business of the House for to-day?

The Prime Minister (Mr. Churchill)

I propose to make a short statement on the War Situation on the Committee stage of the Supplementary Vote of Credit, which we desire to obtain to-day, as well as the formal Ways and Means Resolution. I think it would meet the convenience of the House if my right hon. Friend the Chancellor of the Exchequer deferred his remarks on the Vote of Credit until the Report stage, which, as the House is aware, will be taken on the second Sitting Day.
