§ 29. Sir Waldron Smithersasked the Secretary for Petroleum whether he will make immediate arrangements to increase the allowance of paraffin to those houses and districts which have not got supplies of gas and electricity?

If my hon. Friend has any particular case in mind and will communicate with me, I shall be happy to look into it.
§ Sir W. SmithersCannot the hon. Gentleman arrange, if it is necessary in view of the limited supply to reduce the amount allowed where alternative means of cooking are available, that the amount allowed should be increased where there are no such alternative means?
Viscountess AstorWould the hon. Gentleman consider the case of Plymouth, for instance, where in some districts we still have no gas or electricity?
