HC Deb 23 October 1941 vol 374 cc1911-2
Mr. Storey

I ask your leave, Mr. Speaker, to make a personal statement. In the course of yesterday's Debate about Reuters, I stated that I had no financial interest in the company and take no salary for my work as chairman of it. I should have made it clear that since I have been chairman I have continued to draw the usual fee of £200 to which ordinary directors are entitled under the articles of association, and which I drew before I became chairman. I apologise to the House if I in any way misled it as to my position.
