§ 32. Mr. Kenneth Lindsayasked the Minister of Information whether he will consult with the Ministers of Supply and Labour in order to establish a definite policy for the publishing and paper industries, in view of the importance of this question to propaganda?
§ Mr. BrackenYes, Sir. I am fully aware of the problem presented by the industries in question and will certainly undertake to discuss it with my right hon. Friends who are primarily responsible for these industries.
§ Mr. LindsayIs the Minister aware that there is a growing shortage of technical books for the Forces, and will he do everything he can to overcome that difficulty?
§ Mr. BrackenI shall certainly do everything in my power, but I have to secure 1769 the consent of the Minister of Supply, and I cannot pledge him without his authority. I have also to get the consent of the Minister of Labour, but we arc going to have a meeting soon to see what we can do about it.
